The battle for the Trucks México Series regular championship intensifies after the tenth round held this Sunday at the Autódromo de Querétaro. Gerardo Rodríguez continued his upward streak with his fifth victory of the year, a result that narrows the gap with championship leader Mateo Girón.
Rodríguez arrived in Querétaro with positive momentum after winning the previous round in San Luis Potosí, where he achieved his fourth victory of the season. The #26 controlled the 70-lap race from the starting pole position and never relinquished the lead, even during the intermediate stage on lap 30.

Girón Maintains Lead Despite Second Place in Querétaro
Mateo Girón extended his historic streak by completing ten consecutive rounds among the top three. The second place obtained with the #5 allows him to retain the overall championship lead, although he sees his advantage over Rodríguez reduced with just one race remaining.

Espinosa Completes the Podium with the #96
Roberto Espinosa closed the podium and keeps his options alive to qualify among the seven drivers who will advance to the playoffs. Rafael Maggio, Valeria Aranda, Santiago Cruz, Everardo Fonseca, Santiago Torre, Eduardo de la Rosa, and Alexandra Mohnhaupt occupied positions fourth through tenth.
Rodríguez Scores Two Consecutive Wins Before the Finale
The victory in Querétaro represents the second consecutive win for Rodríguez, who had regained the path to success in San Luis Potosí after a disappointing performance in Puebla, where he finished twelfth despite having obtained the pole position. This recovery keeps him as Girón's main pursuer.
San Luis Potosí Will Define the Regular Season Champion
The Súper Óvalo Potosino will host the race on October 5th, which will close the regular season and define the champion of this first phase. The battle for the regular title is shaping up to be between Rodríguez and Girón, pending the official points update after the Querétaro race.
