Corey Heim wrote his name alongside Greg Biffle's in the history books of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series by capturing his ninth victory of the 2025 season this Saturday in the Team EJP 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Driving the No. 11 Toyota for TRICON Garage, Heim matched the single-season wins record set by Biffle in 1999, the year he was crowned series champion.

Heim's performance on the Loudon oval was nearly perfect. He started from the pole position, swept both stages, led 124 of the 175 total laps, and turned the fastest lap of the day before crossing the finish line 0.823 seconds ahead of Chandler Smith.

Biffle Welcomes New Member to Exclusive Club

Immediate recognition came from social media, where Greg Biffle posted a photo of himself holding a lobster on a beach with the message: "Welcome to the 9-win club." The lobster is a reference to the traditional trophy awarded to winners at New Hampshire.

"It's a dream come true to be able to race with these guys," expressed Heim about his team. "It seems like wherever we go this year we're contenders or we win, so I can't say enough about those guys."

Heim, who now has 20 victories in 85 career starts, already has his sights set on breaking the historic record. "We still have four more races this year and I want to break that record. Shoutout to Greg Biffle, he's a great guy."

Smith and Garcia Eliminated from Playoffs

Chandler Smith fought an intense battle to keep his championship hopes alive, but his second-place finish wasn't enough. Smith with Front Row Motorsports was eliminated after finishing 10 points below the cutline to advance to the second round of the playoffs.

"Just a lot of bad luck, but honestly, I'm a man of faith and I've been praying a lot about this and my prayer has been specific for the Lord's will and obviously it wasn't in His will for us to advance to the next round," commented Smith after the race.

Jake García also saw his path to the title cut short after finishing 16th, placing him outside the top eight qualified drivers.

The Eight Drivers Qualified for the Second Round

With the points reset, the next phase of the playoffs consists of: Corey Heim (leader), Layne Riggs (47 points behind), Daniel Hemric, Ty Majeski, Tyler Ankrum, Grant Enfinger, Rajah Caruth, and Kaden Honeycutt.

Layne Riggs completed the podium in New Hampshire and positions himself as Heim's main pursuer in the points standings. Riggs, with three wins this season, will face the challenge of cutting into the lead over the next three races.

Giovanni Ruggiero, Heim's teammate, achieved his best result of the year by finishing fourth, while Ty Majeski, the series' reigning champion, closed out the top five.

Caruth's Key Strategy to Advance

Rajah Caruth made a risky decision to stay on track with used tires during the second stage to score additional points. The strategy proved vital for his qualification to the next round, where he finished tenth.

"It was the best-case scenario, the 38 [Smith] didn't win and we got good stage points," explained Caruth. "I'm proud of my Spire team. We keep getting better and the truck was decent."

Next Event: Charlotte ROVAL

The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series will return to action on October 3rd with its debut at the Charlotte ROVAL, the first of the final three races that will determine which four drivers will be eligible to fight for the championship on October 31st in Phoenix.
