Kaulig Racing announced the separation of Josh Williams as driver of the Chevrolet No. 11 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The decision takes effect immediately and leaves the team with 12 races remaining in the 2025 season.

Williams was in 19th position in the driver standings with 376 points as of July 27, without any wins so far this season. The driver is 353 points behind leader Connor Zilisch, who has accumulated 729 points and five victories.

Driver rotation to complete the season

The organization based in Welcome, North Carolina will implement a multiple-driver system for the remaining races on the calendar. The team promised additional announcements about driver lineup in the coming weeks.

Williams posted a farewell message acknowledging the difficulty of the day for his family and team. "It's been a tough day for my family, friends, long-time partners and fans," he expressed. "We'll be back soon and look forward to a much better chapter in my career."

Winless season for Williams

Williams is far from the playoff zone, ahead of Jeremy Clements (369 points) and William Sawalich (348 points) in the immediately following positions.

Kaulig Racing must now focus on maximizing results for the No. 11 during the remaining 12 races while evaluating options to complete the season. The decision marks the end of the collaboration between the driver and one of the most established teams in the Xfinity series.
