The race weekend started with Roberto "Bob" Espinosa as the protagonist on Saturday, securing pole position with a time of 1:33.665 in his #96 truck from Dynamic Motorsports. Mateo Girón (#5) and Eduardo de la Rosa (#4) completed the top three in qualifying, while Rodríguez would start from eighth position with a time of 1:41.801.

An effective start changes the landscape

Sunday's competition began at 11:30 AM with good attendance from the Aguascalientes crowd. Although Espinosa started from first position, it was Gerardo Rodríguez who managed to gain positions to take the lead in the early laps.

The battle for the lead continued when Valeria Aranda in truck #27 began pressuring Rodríguez. However, the #26 driver maintained control and reached the first "Stage" on lap 40, taking the additional points and the checkered flag for this first segment.

Incidents alter positions

The second half of the race was marked by several incidents that changed the positions of the leading group. Eduardo de la Rosa in truck #4 emerged in the fight for top positions, while Mateo Girón, the championship leader, also joined the final battle.

At the end of the competition, Gerardo Rodríguez crossed the finish line in first position to claim his first victory of the 2025 season. Eduardo de la Rosa managed to overtake Mateo Girón in the final corner to take second place, while the Zacatecas native completed the podium and secured enough points to maintain his championship lead.

Rookie Alexandra Monhnhaupt finished in a commendable fourth position, followed by Valeria Aranda who completed the top five. Meanwhile, Roberto Espinosa, who had dominated qualifying, had to settle for 13th position in the race.

The next round of the Mexico Trucks Series championship will be on June 1st in Querétaro.
