Trackhouse Racing confirmed that Telcel-Infinitum will sponsor the Chevrolet No. 99 driven by Daniel Suárez during the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race to be held on June 15 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

First international points-paying event since 1958

This competition marks the first points-paying NASCAR Cup race outside the United States since 1958, and will take place at the historic Hermanos Rodríguez circuit, with 2.674 miles in length and 17 turns at an altitude of 7,342 feet.

Built in 1959 and renovated in 2015, the track honors the brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, legendary Mexican drivers. The circuit already has experience with NASCAR, having hosted Xfinity Series races between 2005 and 2008.

The NASCAR Mexico City Weekend, scheduled for June 13-15, represents a historic moment for Mexican motorsports and for Suárez, who returns to compete professionally in his home country for the first time since leaving in 2011 to pursue his dream in the United States.

"Since I left Mexico to chase my NASCAR dream, I've dreamed every day of racing in my country," shared Suárez, who met with media on Tuesday in Mexico City where he unveiled the vehicle he will use in June.

"Mexico has loved motorsports for a long time, and little by little that love has also moved towards NASCAR," explained Suárez, Xfinity Series champion in 2016 and the only Mexican driver with wins in Cup Series (Sonoma 2022 and Atlanta 2024).

"I hope this event creates many NASCAR fans in Mexico. We want this race to become a permanent fixture on the NASCAR calendar for many years," expressed Suárez, who sees this competition as an opportunity to expand the popularity of American motorsports in Mexican territory.
